What is COVID-19?
Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a virus called “coronavirus” that can spread from person to person and effects the upper respiratory system.
Major symptoms of infected people are respiratory illness, fever or chills, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, loss of smell and taste, headache, sore throat, congestion, and nausea.
How to prevent getting sick?

There’s nothing normal about life right now. This pandemic we are living in has changed many people’s lives whether to good or bad.
Some families are reunited, others are facing divorces and major problems. This toxic environment we live in is changing the world around us, but here we are we are trying to keep our heads above water and survive as we have no choice but to do so.
Here at Rihla, we would like to be there for the struggling families, and take advantage of the time at home to empower families and reconnect the community back to get our strength back.
Allah (swt) tests us with disasters like this for us to learn a lesson from, increase our patience, and most important to obey and submit to Him (swt).
It’s ok to be worried about the outbreak of Coronavirus, but resist inflaming it.

1- Follow the correct preventative methods to protect yourself and your family from getting sick. wear a mask. wash your hands. avoid gatherings.
2- Eat healthy, as the body feeds the mind. with the shortage of meats, try to eat legumes for protein supplement. other foods like eggs, and nuts are healthy as protein substitute.
3- working out is more important during stressful living. take walks around the neighborhood. do a workout from your favorite youtube.
4- Just breath! breathing helps spread your body’s stagnated stressed energy, which then strengthens your lungs and prevents getting sick.
